FAQ

Why should I choose Blazing Bats to roll my bat?

We're experienced and our engineering background gives us an edge. Most of the popular bat rolling companies online today use machines from either Juiced, Inc. or Panther Bat Rolling Machines. We do too, but we've modified them for our own use and we have improved upon them. We contracted a leading plastics company to design and manufacture a proprietary roller for us. In essence, the roller has a hard inner core to ensure a good roll with optimal results and uses a soft outer core that is gentle on the bat.

Is bat rolling detectable?

No. Nobody will be able to detect that your bat has been rolled.

Will my bat become less durable after I have it rolled?

Your bat will experience a slight durability loss – approximately 500 hits. It will, however, be “hotter” than an identical bat that was not rolled and instead broken-in through use because mechanical bat rolling ensures an even and consistent break-in across the entire barrel and sweet spot and eliminates any dead spots associated with a typical break-in.

Will I see an improvement in performance if I roll my used bat?

Yes. Results will vary depending upon the bat's make and model, the type of balls that have already been hit and who has been swinging the bat, but the net result will be an improvement in performance. It will also make the bat more consistent by eliminating any dead spots.

What are “dead spots”?

Dead spots are regions on the barrel and/or sweet spot that have not been sufficiently broken-in and produce slower batted-ball speeds and hits that travel less distance. These spots form when the distribution and magnitude of the hits used to break-in the bat are not distributed evenly across the entire barrel and sweet spot. If you choose to break-in the bat through use, it is almost a certainty that dead spots will form because it is impossible to distribute the same amount of hits, with identical impact velocities and angles, across every square-inch of the barrel.

What kinds of bats can be rolled?

As long as there aren't any cracks in the bat, we can roll slowpitch softball, fastpitch softball, baseball, and youth bats.

Can you roll aluminum or alloy bats and will I see an improvement in bat performance?

Yes.

Can you roll 2 5/8" or 2 3/4" big barrel bats?

Yes. A major reason why we decided to build our own proprietary roller was because most of the “out of the box” rollers were too soft to roll big barrel bats and they had difficulty applying consistent pressure across the entire barrel. The hard inner core of our proprietary roller enables us to roll these types of bats and ensures optimal results.

What is your turn around time?

We will roll and return ship your bat within 24 hours of being received. If you choose to register an account during checkout, you will be able to view your order status on our website.
